6: AUGUST 2008 (2/3)

During our visit we realized two programs: the plantation of some plants in a small area in the new site and the rubbish collection throughout the paths of the village. Students enjoyed a lot these activities and we also!!Local people in the village looked at our big group with a puzzled gaze, but we believe that they have seen an alive school, and we are very happy for this!

Moreover we settled some bins (four) as a collection point for rubbish in the new site. An hole has been expressly dug and it will be used as a permanent collection point.

During our tour along the paths of the village collecting rubbish we met a man (picture on the bottom) really crafting some items in a simple workshop. This man belongs to dalit, the ethnic group, as explained in our first report, that enjoys the place where to work and some tools in usufruct to make other tools to sell in nearby local market as a micro-credit source (UNDP project). Also in this case we introduced this man to the students.
