OUR PROFILE

Basically we are all Naturalists: zoologists, botanists, trekkers and mountain dwellers (Alessandro, Antonio, Marco and Roberto). With different passions. We grew up at the Department of Biology of the University of Milan and we are related to the Ev-K2-CNR Committee by a scientific collaboration.

In our trips we directly saw the strong social unrest and poverty in various countries in the world. Most of times, children are the first to be heavily affected by these conditions. We are people who were lucky to born in a rich country, we were able to study, to improve our social condition and get benefit from our society improving our knowledge of this world and of its beauties.

To answer to a precise moral commitment in Italy we created an association in 2007. It was Sundari Baini. In nepali language it can be "beautiful small child". We did not expect to reach this point, but we believe in this project, we count on people’s help, and above all, we do it with joy, because we trust it!!

Some months ago (december 2009) the changeover between Sundari Baini and Pithekos, italian association led by our friends Loredana and Raffaella, for the management of the project in Italy. Thanks to Pithekos the project goes on proceeding regularly.
