This is what’s been happening in Nepal in the past 6 months: in August 2007 our mission in Nepal met with the local authorities, the Langtang Foundation and the Ev-K2-CNR committee in Katmandu, to define the course of action for the fulfilment of the various aspects of the project: supervising and organization of the works, dispatch and administration of funds.

On site, we verified that: the workers have completed the building with two classrooms (top picture) that was under construction in July 2006.

Moreover, throughout the winter and the spring of 2007 the locals completed the drainpipes in the right part of the site (see what it was like in 2006 and what it’s like today) and they also erected the first boundary wall (middle).

In autumn 2007 (in summer works stop due to the monsoon) the excavation needed to house the foundations of the new building (bottom picture) has been completed. To get a clear idea of how works improved since 2006, please have a look at this brief picture gallery.
