3: FEBRUARY/MARCH 2008

In March, in Nepal, work proceeded (see pictures on the right) and labourers, nowadays, are building the walls of the first floor of the edifice. First report of our colleagues of EV-K2-CNR Committee was sent on the 20th of February.

Work proceeds in the way we planned and relationship between EV-K2-CNR, Langtang Foundation NGO and local community is fair and positive. After, as we already decided, we sent on the 22th of February the letter with which we confirmed our will to send a first economic aid for the development of infrastructures.

With our letter Shiva Lamicchane was able to sign an agreement with the School Committee and the local community. Then, he moved to Social Welfare Council in Kathmandu. Now, we are waiting to receive the last signal after which we will send the first aid (already set=3000 E) for the prosecution of work.

As Shiva Lamicchane stated some days ago, after ground floor completion, local people, if we will be able to provide necessary funds, will start first floor construction. If so, we have the chance to finish it before the arrival of next monsoon. This is the program of works and costs till now.
